About STEMLaunch

STEMLaunch is an independent STEM careers education and media platform published in the United Kingdom. It provides free careers guides, employer and university information, and an AI Career Advisor tool.

Using STEMLaunch

You may read, share and link to our content for personal, educational and non-commercial purposes. The site is provided free of charge and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time.

Careers information is not personalised advice

Our content is general careers education and information, not personalised careers guidance.
It is not financial, legal, medical, academic admissions or immigration advice.
Entry requirements, qualifications, funding and pay change and vary by employer, region and year.
Always verify important details with the official source — the employer, university, awarding body, professional body or GOV.UK — before making a decision.

AI Career Advisor

The AI Career Advisor generates suggestions automatically based on what you type. It is an exploratory tool, not a careers counsellor.
Its output can be incomplete or wrong, and it may describe roles, requirements or salaries inaccurately. Treat suggestions as a starting point for your own research.
Do not enter sensitive personal, medical or financial information. Your messages are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response.
Do not rely on it for decisions about education, employment, health or finances without independent verification.
We may limit, change or withdraw the tool, and we do not guarantee continuous availability.

Salary information

Salary figures are researched from published pay scales and official sources and are dated where relevant. They are indicative gross figures, usually exclude London weighting, overtime, bonuses and benefits, and are not an offer or a prediction of what you will earn. See our editorial standards for how we source them.

External links

We link to employers, universities, government services and other third parties. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, availability, application processes or data practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Any application you make is between you and that organisation.

Accuracy and changes

We take reasonable care to keep content accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free. Content may be edited, updated or removed without notice. If you spot an error, please tell us.

Subscribing is optional and voluntary. We send STEM career guides, opportunities and site updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Newsletter data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

STEMLaunch does not currently require an account to read content or use its tools. If accounts are introduced, additional terms will apply and will be published here.

Intellectual property

The STEMLaunch name, logo, design and original written content are owned by STEMLaunch. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link to the original page. You may not republish, scrape, resell or bulk-reproduce our content, or use it to train commercial models, without written permission. Third-party logos and images remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems.
Do not scrape or bulk-download content by automated means.
Do not misuse the AI Career Advisor — including attempting to extract system instructions, generate unlawful or harmful content, or submit other people's personal data.
Do not use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.

Advertising

The site displays third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. We do not control the content of individual adverts and their appearance is not an endorsement. Dealings with advertisers are solely between you and them.

Liability
