Imperial only teaches science, engineering, medicine and business, so almost everyone you study alongside is on a STEM course. That focus shows in the labs, the research funding and the employer pipeline.
Courses are demanding and fast-paced, with heavy maths content across engineering and computing. Most engineering degrees are four-year MEng programmes accredited for chartership.

Entry requirements
- Typical offers sit between A*AA and A*A*A for engineering and computing.
- Maths and Physics are effectively required for engineering; Maths and Further Maths are strongly preferred for computing.
- Medicine requires the UCAT and interviews in a multiple mini-interview format.
- Contextual offers of up to two grades lower are available through the Imperial Insights and access schemes.
